History

Tristan was born to Josephine and Daniel Moore. His mother was a witch, but his father was a Muggle, though Tristan was raised in the way of wizards rather than Muggles. He does have a fair bit of exposure to Muggle ways, however, as his father was not completely willing to forgo everything about his Muggle lifestyle.

When Josephine was pregnant, she was bitten by a werewolf. She was turned, and Tristan was born carrying the lycanthropic curse. The lunar changes began when he hit puberty, and his mother instilled caution into him.

Too much caution, really. Tristan began to see himself as something tainted, something dirty, something that would bring only pain and shame to those outside of his family.

For a year at Hogwarts, adjusting to the changes, Tristan became very withdrawn. He spoke little and hid often. Every month, he'd take the wolfsbane potion and run around the Forbidden Forest on four paws, just in case his control slipped.

In his fourth year, he befriended Landon Farnsworth when Lan discovered the secret Tristan had been hiding. The boy - a year younger than himself - didn't understand Tristan's withdrawal and fear. Despite how Tristan tried to explain it, Landon didn't see what was wrong. He genuinely liked Tristan.

The realization that maybe there was something worth liking in him turned Tristan around completely. He slowly started to shed his overprotective mother's words of caution, and he began to be himself again - the prankster, the jokester, the outspoken gay werewolf he'd always been.

He still has moments where he doubts his worth to anyone but himself, though those moments are fewer and farther between.

Personality

Tristan is a joker, first and foremost. If there's a good prank to be had, he wants in on it. Outwardly, he's outgoing and forward, always quick with a laugh or a joke. Inwardly though, he knows it's just a front. Born a werewolf, Tristan spent most of his admittedly short life believing himself to be dirty, tainted, and unwanted by anyone outside of his family. Only since befriending Landon has he come to realize that those who don't accept what he is, completely, are not people he wants in his life, anyway.
