Physical Description: Lily is 5'6" tall, with emerald eyes and dark red hair. Her skin is fair and burns easily in the sun. She does freckle in the summer, but lightly.
Personality: Lily is generally cheerful, friendly, and outgoing. She has a bit of a stubborn streak in her, and she can hold a grudge if someone gets to her badly enough. She's incredibly loyal to her friends, but even the strongest loyalties can be tried and tested. She's a bit of a tease at times, and sometimes she reaches a point of being overly friendly that can be read the wrong way. She leans toward casual touches and is a fairly physical person.
Skills: Lily is a witch, with her primary skill set being in potions and charms. She also had very moderate artistic ability - she likes to paint, even if it never turns out to be more than blobs of color on paper or canvas. She tends to make friends easily.
Weak points: Her temper and her grudge-holding can get in the way of the bigger picture. She exhibits the normal frailities of a moderately active human woman (can be broken, etc).

Brief Background:
Lily Evans was born on the evening of January 30, 1960. She had a happy childhood, along with her older sister Petunia. When Lily was 8, she met a very curious neighborboy, Severus Snape, whom she later learned was a wizard. Through him, she discovered the world of magic, and was pleased to learn that she was a witch and would be attending school with her new friend.
Lily was always a bright girl, vivacious and full of life. She excelled at her studies, especially potions. She had many friends in school, though she and Severus remained close. As time went on, and Severus began to lean more toward the dark arts, Lily realized their friendship wouldn't be able to continue, or progress. She was never aware that Severus had fallen in love with her.
Lily had also caught the attention of another - one James Potter. She was not interested in his juvenile pranks, his arrogance, or his conceit. Until their seventh year at Hogwarts, his efforts fell on deaf ears, as it were. Eventually he seemed to grow up - a little, anyway - and Lily consented to date him.
