I'm usually not big on politics, but sometimes I will pointedly be reminded and feel a need to say stuff. Unsurprisingly, this tends to be on the topic of sexuality.

points 1 & 2 are studies that I'm proud to be a part of (even though I don't like shots) and I wanted to add to point 3 (also, the study listed under the second point offers free birth control for four years if you qualify!)

3) YDI also offers safe, anonymous pain free HIV testing and will come to your home if that is best for you. This link isn't the greatest (it's from a page that also focus on syringe exchange) but it works. YDI Harm Reduction

lack of insurance is no reason not to take care of your sexual health

On that note: STD Testing and Family planning options are avalible at Public Health and run on a sliding scale. I have good insurance and a decent job, but still qualified for free Testing and Treatment. (I will be making a donation, and would encourage anyone who can to do so)

And, hey! Guys! If you really know you don't want kids, you can get fixed. It's easier than getting a tooth drilled. Seriously. If you have insurance, there's a good chance it's covered, and even if not, it's pretty cheap as such things go (certainly a LOT cheaper than an unplanned kid).

Vasectomy, of course, also does not protect you from STDs. It does not affect sex drive, volume of emission (OK, it does--by about the size of the ball in a ball-point pen, maybe--and why the hell do you care anyway), erectile function, or really anything, except sperm count, which is the whole dang idea.

Oh, and those anti-HPV vaccine assholes can officially take a flying leap into their own burning lake.
