We're not seriously hurt or anything, just a bit of a bruise and whiplash really. My car is hurt far worse... seeing the radiator fluid flowing down the road was almost like watching blood run out of a body. Perhaps a little dramatic, but I loved my car, and the insurance is probably going to be far less than it deserves. Dad took pictures and tried to show me, but it just upset me too much!! I'm refusing to stress about any of it for the moment. Thanks for the hugs
Its good to hear neither of you were seriously hurt. Thats the main thing and the most important.
Objects can always be replaced, even the car you absolutly loved. I lost a very good car which I loved alot, we had just fixed up the engine. It only had 3rd party and was hit by a drunk driver (who tried to flee the scene of the accident). It annoyed me for at least a year afterwards. Then again now I'm hoping someone will write my current car off. :)
Thanks hon, we should be okay, trains not that far away and I should ring my insurance company to see if they'll pay for a hire car... although I don't actually want to get behind a wheel just yet! I've got to get driving again, but not before I can turn my head without moving my shoulders!!
We'll be fine, we were lucky it wasn't worse and it certainly wasn't my fault. Bruises will heal relatively quickly!
Thank you! I was actually on the way to see my doctor this morning, which was why we'd left for work later... the first phonecall i made was to cancel the appointment and get them to book me in later on that day. Mum drove me down and I've been checked over and everythings documented. Jon's going to the docs on his way home, so we'll both be checked over.
Mum and Dad have been great, I'm so lucky to have such wonderful people around me :) *gentle hugs back*
Poor bubbles. I actually went to work late because I heard three close accidents just while I was getting ready, so I chickened out on driving with all that craziness. That sux so much that you guys are having to deal with all this. *more hugs*
Haha, I went to work late cause I figured if Jon wanted to get to work on time, he could get out of bed first! I guess it was still around peak hour though :/ the thunderstorm early this morning was quite impressive though!
:( Some drivers become complete n00bs the second a drop of rain falls from the sky... My advice is to see a doctor & get a lawyer, a nice compo payment could do wonders for your new house. ;D
I've often complained that a drop of rain makes people stupid, but I have a feeling that rain had very little to do with this one! Even if it had been dry, she'd still have pulled out in front of me with no warning!
I've been to the docs and Jon's going on his way home, but I have my doubts that there's going to be much more than a new (cheaper) car out of this :/ We'll have to see what happens. I've got a good record and at least I'm over 25 now (probably one of the only times I think about that in a positive light ;P)
I know you're not meant to admit fault or anything, but the bitch wouldn't even look at me and didn't seem phased about it at all!
Yeah, we're okay but my car looks dreadful! I can't look at the photos, its too awful! Last thing we needed right now, but I guess things like this never wait for the 'right' time!
I couldn't decide whether I was going to get out of the car and scream at the woman or cry... As soon as i got out and saw the damage though, I was too upset to yell! Luckily Jon took care of things for me, he's been an angel!

God that's horrible. I hope you guys are ok. I hope the other people cough up big time.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help, what with the whole living 5 minutes away thing.
