Back at last! My friend from the UK has finally gone home, and life can now get back to normal (or as near normal as my life ever gets!). He's a very sweet guy, and a fantastic person, but I've realised he may well be too old for me (we're the same age). Maybe it's because he is pretty set in his ways & kinda pedantic, and I've been through too

I'm sorry to hear things aren't clicking in all those right ways with the friend. Some things just aren't meant to be, I suppose.

Thanks hun, I'm now getting abck to whatever passes for normal in my life, so should be around more. Been quietly lurking a bit but literally snatched minutes here & there.

My daughter and I are both doing better - just trying to keep everything as normal as possible for her. Sometimes think she's doing better than I am, as I'm still taking strain! Still, that's what Moms are for.
