Okay - not a fun post this time, but I've been forbidden to tell anyone I know in rl, and need to get this off my chest

Oh sweetie, I am so sorry to know this.

It is really sad.

My father underwent a delicate surgery to remove prostate cancer almost a year ago, and he is alright now. But as you probably know, only after 5 years, it is possible to say one is cancer free. So a long wait is still ahead of us...

I know the pain such news involve.
I was devastated when I found out of my father´s cancer.

And now my mother has to do a biopsy too...

I understand your pain, and anger and frustration.

I am sending you and your hubby my good energies.

And God help him! Whether he has faith in a Superior Being or not.

Thank you, sweetie. Unfortunately this is inoperable, so we just have to hope for the best. Thanks for your kind thoughs, word and prayers... it really helps to know there are people out there pulling for us! I'm glad to hear your Dad is still clear, and keeping fingers crossed for your Mom.

Life just sucks sometimes. It most assuredly isn't fair. This is not dumping, girl, most assuredly not. LJ friends can be there when no one else can. We're not able to be there to bake cookies and make sure you eat properly when you're not ingesting comfort food, but we sure can lend a pair of eyes to "Listen" while you get things off your chest.

We excell in the virtual hug department too.

We'll even forgive you if you use all caps.

Thanks hon! He did go straight to another oncologist who told him the same thing ... it's inoperable and will be degenerative, and not quick.

I second what al said. LJ isn't meant to be all happiness and pic spam and fic. It's to get things off your chest and unload and vent and do whatever you need to do or say whatever needs to be said, too. Even if there's not much we can do, we're here to listen and we can at least give you a virtual hug.
