if the ira is an undefeated army, why did they agree to a cease-fire while the partition is still in effect? terrorism, which is all that organization of thugs has ever been able to offer to the ulster peace process, has never been a viable strategy for lasting change, not in ireland, not in pakistan, not in algeria, NOWHERE. do some research before you blindly follow. sinn fein is the only sliver of hope the republicans have if they are to have any constructive impact, and their influence will be directly, proportionally related to how much gerry adams is willing to continue to distance himself from the destructive violence of the ira's often sordid past. the best service the ira could do for those irish who are truly committed to a unified ireland would be to commit itself unconditionally to a PEACEFUL process with the british and the loyalists. let law, not terror, rule in northern ireland. be careful of what you unconditionally support.
i understand that its a matter of how you see it, they are to some terrorists and others freedom fighters. Though to guage the significance of this icon that ive used as a message of my support for that war is not valad, its actaully an inside joke amongst a few of my friends.
I realized this may not be viewed in the right manner. I am Irish and I support the IRA. im2cool4you hasn't got the facts straigt. al-Qaeda is a terorist organization. The IRA is an organization committed the concernes of irish people.

-Maybe you should get your facts straight and stop being so offensive to THIS Irish American who is proud of the peaceful progress that has been made.
