That makes sense to me - after all, I treat Tricky like a toddler and it works, so it makes sense that the reverse would also be true ;)

I was specifically talking in the assignment about the four parenting styles and how they don't actually "create" people who conform to a specific stereotype, but they reward different behaviors and the simple ID mentality of avoiding pain and seeking pleasure leads to repeated activities ( ... )

*nod* That sounds like a pretty good comparison to me, and I can't believe the others were so bland about it.

What specific qualification are you doing BTW?

Tricky doesn't do the yes or no thing, but he can follow two step commands, as I've realised recently. In a way, I wish I'd done more formal training with him, because most of the stuff he picks up he does of his own accord. He has a great vocab, too. For a dimwit, he's actually very bright *g*

Bachelors of Applied Social Science (psychology) at the Australian College of Applied Psychology.

Intelligent dogs are supposed to have a vocab. of around 300 human words, the average person is supposed to have a vocab. of around 3000-4000 words. it's pretty impressive really.
