The Fisher family of Gap, Inc., and their “Mendocino Redwood Company,”
are heavily logging the already ravaged redwood forests in
Mendocino and Sonoma Counties. Endangered species, such as the coho
salmon, are being destroyed. With our planetary environment at great
risk from deforestation, the Fishers--with a reported fortune of 12 billion
dollars--are clearcutting redwood forests for profit! The Gap is also
exploiting sweatshop labor. (The Fishers helped write the global trade
textile rules that promote slave labor worldwide.) Use your consumer
power to stop corporate lawlessness. Boycott Gap, Banana Republic and
Old Navy stores!
