Weekend with old friends
This weekend I went to LA Tech to visit Sam and Bill. Friday night when I got in town we went to dinner at Olive Garden. I fell asleep watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Rusty and I went to New Orleans today. He accompanied me to a doctor's appointment and then we had some fun. We made it into the city and I paid my respects to my Grandma. New house
We bought a new house a couple days ago. It's a two-story, New Orleans style house a few blocks away from our current home. My parents didn't look at it very long, but they fell in love and bought it. I have yet to see the inside. I'm wet!
Saturday was my first official day of summer, but today was the first day that truly felt like summer to me. After running to the mall and a bunch of other errands, Rusty and I hung out (which made it feel like summer). Goodbye school, hello summer!
I'm done! I finished yesterday at 3:10 and was out of Jackson by 4:15. It was one hell of a tough year, academically, physically, emotionally, and mentally but I made it through. And I'm pretty sure my GPA is going to be kick-ass for this semester. It's weird; I always do better spring semester than fall semester, even though spring is always ( Read more... ) -
What an exciting day!
Today, I finally got off crutches! It took 5 weeks, but today was the first day I could walk without a limp. I went to physical therapy and showed my therapists and they are very excited for me. I am walking slowly but surely! I can hold my own and it makes me feel good. It may not seem very exciting to everyone else, but I haven't been on crutches ( Read more... ) -
Major Madness
Major Madness was this weekend. Yesterday, Millsaps had a crawfish boil. Being from South Louisiana, I quickly downed two to-go-boxes of crawfish, corn, and potatoes. For being from Mississippi, the crawfish were pretty good. They didn't fill me up for long (crawfish never do), but it was good. Spring break was awesome; probably the best one yet. I spent the majority of my time with friends. A couple of friends, my parents, and I went to the St. Patrick's Day parade which was a ton of fun then we went out to lunch. Then off with my friends to make trouble. Spring has sprung
This semester has been better. Friends and roommate got a lot better. A lot less drama goes on or at least less drama I'm involved in, thank goodness. My grades have gotten better. I got asked the question, "What do you do for you?" earlier today. I gave some answers for things I do when I'm upset but the question was re-directed to, "What do you do for you for fun?"
