k i'm good at this. they can be in love, but it's only a love that is strong enough to cover up the depression. they are still depressed, but they look to their lover to make the depression seem like it's not there.
alex told me he was not happy with himself and until he was, then he couldn't make me happy. now that's a harder, but in the long run, better way to handle things. he doesn't want to use me to make the bad things feel nonexistant.
