Somewhere along Minho’s sprained ankle and Kibum’s half-shaven head, love starts to hurt.
“You’re always like this!” They fight about little things - things that shouldn’t and don’t matter to their so-called relationships. But Kibum screams with his two hands balled up into tight fists and eyes accusingly sharp; Minho listens, stares and slams the door behind. It doesn’t help that they are constantly in front of flashing lights and moving cameras; the members learn to smile with clenched teeth.
Kibum rants: he talks about Minho’s closed off mind and cruel negligence. His make-up is smeared around the corners of his eyes into the ugly shades of indigo and black, and he trembles in that vulnerable way so foreign to his image. “Cut the crap, Choi Minho. Don’t fucking play me,” Kibum exhales heavily, and Minho thinks that he looks fiercely beautiful under the florescent lights. Minho listens and listens, and sometimes let the other’s words slip through his drifting mind, and everything comes to an end. Minho rationally concludes that they’ve loved and lost, and that heartbreak can’t kill anyone.
“We’re done.”
But the show must go on.
