A friend of mine I used to play online with and talk to a ton got diagnosed with HIV a little while ago and I just found out today. I really don't know what to think really.

He still has his life ahead of him. HIV doesn't have to be an immediate death sentence. The best you can do is continue to offer your love and support. Imagine how scared he is. Probably a thousand times more than you.

True ^. It can take years for someone to even get the disease, and even then there's medication to keep it at bay, if it's not too late, and I hope not.

Yea, but it can take a long time now for it to fully devolop. But even still, I don't think that he'll be planning on what to do after he retires. Hopefully he is though. :)

I'm really sorry to hear that. In this world there are many things that can end your life, some ways are quick and some give you time. We all die eventually so it's not how long you live, it's how you live. I hope he's happy and continues to be for as long as he lives.
