We got to watch the inauguration of Obama at the office today. My boss brought in a portable TV and those of us who had time were able to hang out in the conference room and watch the whole thing. It was amazing - and it was kind of interesting, too, in that those of us on one side of the room seemed so happy and thrilled and moved by it, while

I made the kids listen to it on the way to SVEC. And then they got teh social studies lecture on the significance of all this.

A side note: Joe has been listening to old "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me's" on the puter. Peter Sagel called Obama's election "the end of an 8-year frat party." He added, "What are the political humorists going to do?"
