Hi! I found your blog in The ORG and thought I'd check it out. This post is stunning. The tranquil verse almost undulates as you read it, yet it also evokes a beautiful moment of stillness in my heart. The last stanza is quite poignant.
Ohh ohh I totally get it now. I like it, it reads well on the first read-through, and then the imagery clicks. My favorite line is "delicately freckled, grindstone smooth."
I still don't know what to think of the last stanza. Is the apostrophe on hers' intentional?
I'm working on one now that's got a similar style...i'll post it in a month or so (it's almost done, but i'm a ridiculously slow writer)
