How badly would losing the ability to use your fingers affect your life?

I was about to make some remark about OMG NO MORE VIDEO GAMES - and then I realized you could just duct tape a Wii-mote to you and still play some games.

I think it depends is there anything left of the fingers? and What about thumbs would the be considered fingers? I mean if I had my thumbs still I'd say I'd still be able to do a lot of stuff.

It reminds me of a mitch hedberg joke about chicken fingers and he goes " I want a chicken thumb! They must be accumulating... no one ever orders 'em."
