Can anyone recommend me a good unisex hairdressers around the Walkley/Crookes area that isn't too expensive? A haircut is a bit overdue after not going to a hairdressers for about 8 years :p

I haven't had a haircut in 11½ years, so I'm afraid I couldn't tell you!

Samantha T's opposite walkley library is good.

You've recommended them to me before. I rang them today, they're really busy and not seeing any new customers at the moment.

Some people I know seem to rave about Hair by Christmas but I have never been so can't really say how good they are.
My mum chopped loads off mine the other day to try and get rid of the last few inches of bleaching that I did 3 years ago, it's just below shoulder length now which feels a bit odd.

Hair by Christmas at Broomhill is certainly my favourite. My mother comes up from London especially to get blue and purple extensions!

They cater to just about everyone from a basic trim up to full dreads with coloured bits in, and all in between, alternative and mainstream styles. Very reasonable prices too. And they're nice people, with many interesting things on the wall to look at!

Here endeth the advert, best of luck :)

I'd say Hair By Christmas too. Cheapest place I've found and they do what you ask for rather than what they think you should have done.

Just use a pair of scissors (to kill yourself; I've got no recommendation for hairdressers)
