i just realized that i leave in a week! i'm scared. what will it be like? will i be uncomfortable? will i have dysentary? will it be explosive? will guatemalan mosquitos like me more than american misquitoes, and therefore give me malaria and denghe? will leslie and i get along ok? will my host family be nice? will eva be sooooo sad that her mom

it will be a lot of fun and you will love it and not want to come home. i think you are bound to have explosive diarrhea, though, because that's just what happens in foreign countries. you will not get any diseases from insects and you and leslie will get along swimmingly. your host family will be the best family in the world and you will soon forget about your real family at home. eva will be really sad that you and her mom will be gone at the same time, but it is only for a few weeks. work will suck though, because i am afraid of everyone but you.
