I finished my right armlet! I still need to weave in all the ends and add buttons up the side seam. This was my first time using intarsia and double pointed needles. The intarsia wasn't hard but the needles suck. The only problem with this is that because I'm so short, it comes up to my armpit.

Ha ha, yay for free calendars from church! Would you be able to keep track of the fast days without it?!?!
This is my first armlet and I'm so excited. I'm already thinking about making them in other colors or looking for fancier stitches.

I checked out the pattern on Knitty and holy cow...they're delicious!!! I can't wait to see what you do. :)

I love those calendars! I don't really observe much in the way of fasting (working on that) but at least it's there. Love it.

I'm in love with the button arm-wrap idea. I'm planning to try it with a different color pattern sometime after Christmas. I haven't been able to get the hang of Intarsia so far! :(

This is a great pattern for Intarsia, not too many colors, not a complicated pattern. It is a bit awkward and it slows the knitting down, but I'm so happy with the results.

Just a thought -- Don't use double points, but use two circs instead. There's video of how on knitting help -- but you put half the stitches on each needle an join. It is far easier -- and how I do all my socks.

But the armlet looks great.
