How fun! I LOVE 30s, although I always have to be very wary of the waist/hip difference. For what it's worth, New York patterns seem to be very generously sized.
Butterick are actually some of my favorites from the 30s. I'd actually put that one right at 1937-38. The short skirt, squared sleeves, and hairstyle anticipating the 40s are all key. It's a really pretty one, and your fashion fabric sounds perfect for it.
When you make the 1937 pattern I loaned you -- you better show it off!
I'd put this pattern at the very late 30s, too. 1938 maybe. I got your pattern this week -- I'm going to Jo-Ann's on Friday to do a huge fabric shop for all the new patterns I have. Can't wait!
I don't think so! So far, it's not going well. I made a muslin of the square necked bodice from your pattern. OMG! The pleats make my boob look GIGANTIC! I'll try the button front, but I don't like it as much as the other view.

I'd put this pattern at the very late 30s, too. 1938 maybe. I got your pattern this week -- I'm going to Jo-Ann's on Friday to do a huge fabric shop for all the new patterns I have. Can't wait!
