Simplicity 7836: Progress

I worked on this dress all day yesterday, as I had originally planned to wear it to my husband’s birthday party on Saturday. I started cutting it out at 11am and by 5pm, got this far and tried it on. Haha -- high necklines make big boobies look low and matronly. Especially if the material has a loud design on it. From my experiences, anyway :/

No boobs look low and matronly in a longline bullet bra! You just need to be careful of where you point them.

Well, bummer! I think it looks fine. And those type of sleeves, fitted with darts, aren't poofy IMHO; they just balance things out. My first 30s outfit I was afraid of the sleeves so I drafted plain ones instead. I've been planning to redo them for a long time now, since the darted sleeves really do look best.
But if you don't want to do it, don't. :)
