im from sf, where ive been told we dont have accents, we have idiomatic intracicies. oddly enough, though, due to my travels, i was 60%GAE 20%yank 10%dix and 10%mid. what kind of bullshit is that?

hmm, i was 55% GAE, 30% Dixie and so on. perhaps i need to get out of the south?

hahaha...yeah. actually, it's kinda funny because when i was in austin i never thought you had an accent (it always seemed neutral to me). but now that i haven't lived there for so long, whenever we talk, i notice just how much of a texas accent you really do have. even though it's still nowhere near to being extremely annoyingly southern. and i don't think you'd have as much country/americana cred (in say nashville) if you spoke like a yank.
