just gave myself my first ever self-injected shot. haven't become a diabetic or a junkie. but still. disturbing. more on what this is all about tomorrow. but now i need to watch the o.c. to distract myself from the fact that i just shoved a needle into my tummy (and that i have to repeat this once a day for the next 5 weeks).

finally booked my tickets to austin yesterday. good thing cause they weren't gonna get any cheaper and when i went to a travel agent yesterday she said they were in fact going to jack up the prices today. i'm arriving march 11th and flying back out march 29th. so a good 2.5 weeks for a texas-size serving of austin to last me another year or two.
