Looks like school is over for me. I was up all night preparing for my speech. I was even proud of myself because my speech was awesome. Problem is, I overslept through my alarm clock and woke up just after the class was out. I spoke with my professor on the phone and he asked me to email him. I know why now, because he didnt have the balls to tell

Hi Drew,
Never say never (or forever). First of all, don't give up on the speech class yet---maybe the professor will change his mind if you are convincing enough. And even if you do lose your financial aid, you can still go to school parttime. Might take longer to graduate, but lots of people have worked their way through all four years of college with no financial aid. How many credits do you have toward your degree so far? And your parents live in a college town, so moving home and continuing school is an option (although I know you probably hate the thought of moving home). Just don't burn any bridges, keep your options open, and I really think you should keep after this speech professor to change his mind and cut you a little slack.

My biggest regret Drew is that I gave up too easily. You've been burnt out for over a year and picked up a bar habit along the way. But you can still go to school many many many students go to school paying their own way. If nothing else beg that professor one more time. But don't despair.
