Wow, I like this! I haven't got time to read it all at the moment, but your cold hard Sam is amazing! Ray deserves a razor at his balls for the way he treats Sam. And I like the way you've used Gwen here, very subtle.

You've made Sam very convincing here, very much in character with the way he treats the kids and doesn't like them drinking, but will give them biscuits etc. This is a great series, and I'll read the rest of this chapter tomorrow (I have to get the kids to bed now, and then I have to go to bed early myself as I have a horrible cold).

Congratulations again - this is a brilliantly original series and you're using the characters really well.

Thanks for reading, I'm not sure if you read it all, you still like it, for it's gonna be darker. And I admit it's awfully long, but I can't shorten it. They always shag more than my original intend. I promise next chapter won't be long like this. Certainly I forgot the instruction from the so long chapter of my previous series when I wrote it.

So many thoughts about this story.
1. No wonder that Sam does't believe in love or even relationships (specialy for men (women are weak and have a lot of emocions). Two people betrayed him be the same way: his father and that noble man. I mean that noble man was talking about love too, so his further behavior is betrayal too.
2a. I engoy reading this cold-mind Sam so much. It's rare thing.
2b. This cold Sam turns on agressive-Gene by one hand and I am worring that if Sam makes Gene respect him, Gene will fall in love and start to make mistekes about Sam. For instance became even more agressive or something like this.

No need for sorry, I'm just thankful for your reading. This unusual AU and too harsh story is hard to continue without support, I don't have much confidence to write it. And I'm often discouraged and insecure to keep writing this. This fic is getting more and more dark, I'm afraid of no one would watch the final. But I'll try anyway, and if things not going well I'll move on rather than just sinking in discouragement.

This is really intense!! I was on the edge of my seat to see what was going to happen next when Sam and Gene were fighting/f*cking. And of course Sam can't bring himself to believe in love because of his experiences. I feel a little sorry for Gene because it doesn't look like Sam is ever going to respond emotionally the way Gene wants. Going on to read the next part now! :D
