Oh, yes!!! Brilliant use of Phyllis! I can see her play-acting as a rich lady's old Nanny or something, smacking her bottom and treating her like a little girl, then kissing it all better ... And Annie wouldn’t know, would she - she’s too naïve.

So it gave Gene more glory, because only a man like him could deal with this peerless 'whore'.That is wonderful, and very close to the dynamics of the show imo. Sam fights and argues all the time, but in the end he almost always does exactly what Gene tells him to. It enhances Gene’s reputation to have a man like Sam working for him, and I never saw that

I think Phyllis is good for the lesbians of Victorian age, she will get more active part. And I always think Gene knows how fortunate he is to have Sam as his DI, but he doesn't tell Sam, because he thinks Sam is also fortunate to have Gene as his DCI:D I trust the other DCIs envi Gene for having the boy wonder DI. Actually Gene also does as Sam tells him, they are perfect pair!
I hope you will be with this fic in the end, it's gonna be darker more and more.

I loved this chapter; you do a great job with Morgan(whom I hate because he is an evil git), getting inside his point of view about Sam and everything. And wonderful idea for Phyllis! I LOL'ed at Chris having trouble with his mask--so IC. Looking forward to more! :D

I hate Morgan too, he is truly hypocrite, but writing him inspire some affecion for him inside me, oops! And I love to write Phyllis' work as supplementary story one day. And Chris and Ray's lines came from the original scripts directly:D I used this lines as totally different meaning, so fun.
