Box Turtle

We have a box turtle living in our front yard. How do I know? I darn near ran over the poor thing with the lawn mower yesterday. I couldn't have been more than a few inches from the little guy when I noticed him under the tree I was mowing around. let's just put it this way: I wouldn't touch their mouths with a 29 1/2 foot toothbrush. Okay ten foot, but the fact of the matter is before I called animal control, I'd sic him on you for getting him in the first place. ^__^

Heck if you could tame one (and clean it's mouth out) I'd be one of the first in line, but they're just too dangerous. Other than their cesspool mouths that rot your arm off when they bite; they also have their claws, which are an inch or two long at least, and did I mention sharp? As far as large reptiles go I'd be more comfortable with an Iguana or Burmese Python. Although I hear Iguanas can get pretty termperamental and their claws and tail whips sting and easily cut skin.
