I sympathize mightily. Last week we noticed some water pooled on our master bathroom floor. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from. We mopped it up and didn't use anything in that bathroom for the night and hoped it was some kind of fluke...nope. Next morning I called the plumber, who tore apart our now-crumbling waterlogged vanity, and said, "Yep, it's welling up from the slab." (In FL, you see, we can't have basements, so for some reason everyone...encases their plumbing in the foundation where you can't get to it. This, evidently, makes sense

Encases their plumbing? We have slabs out where I live, but I was under the assumption that the plumbing went beneath it. If the plumbing's in the slab... that's unfortunate.

Our bathrooms are unfortunate but functional. Mostly.
