The colours, man! Really brilliant.

But ugh, those ugly-arsed orange trams! I can almost fool myself, sometimes, into forgetting we ever had those... :D

i like that orange tram, never seen one in action, but it looks like a 70s school bus more than a tram :p

They were still in commission up into the late '80s. And yeah, there's a definite air of "institutional" about them. :)

For some reason, it reminds me of Paddle Pop ice creams.

I suspect the subconcious connections are: brown & orange > Seventies > childhood > ice cream > Paddle Pop

But that's a weird circuitous route.

The Tram Museum is great. I how you can climb inside them.
