I will excuse you, for the mere fact that you live in canada. BUT - "pop" is not an acceptable term for soda. I *do* live in the deep south, so I have become accustomed to people calling all brands and varieties of soda 'cokes' no matter if they're a coke product/pepsi product or otherwise *shrugs*, but POP... pop is something I *will* do something about. There are just some TERMS for things that I cannot tolerate, it makes my skin crawl. I am sorry, but I absolutely ALWAYS tell people "Soda ya mean?"

Awesome. I understand completely. There are things up here where people call them different names and I'm like "No, what are you doing?". If it's something I notice when talking to my family out east, apparently only people in my province call some things with different names etc. Eh, we're all a bunch of cowboy hicks afterall. ;)
