At work, back when I used to open the mail and stuff, we'd get scam letters from India about supporting dying orphan children by buying fire extinguishers (WTF?) and letters from people in Iran saying "Congratulations friend, you have been selected to be a benificiary of my selling oil estate and are in line for $3.5 million US as a result. Just send me your credit card information, your home address, your passport number and your first born child and we'll send you a wire transfer!" Wow, obvious much?
