You broke my heart and made it whole again.

He takes Kurt to lunch and talks so Kurt doesn’t have to, doesn’t bring up how his house doesn’t feel like home or how he doesn’t know the first thing about kissing either because he wants Kurt to know about hope, and tries to make him laugh because there’s something inside he doesn’t yet have a name for that wants to be Kurt’s hope, his light, because he couldn’t be his own.

when Kurt looks at him like he could maybe be everything, the very best thing, he trembles because the only kind of love he knows about could turn them into the worst thing, and eventually nothing, absolutely nothing at all.

when Kurt’s classmates look at them dancing like they’re afraid he learns about the kind of love that knows about courage, the kind that makes cowards brave.

Kurt stands in front of Blaine’s bed and Blaine says, “Can I kiss you,” has to ask, because Kurt looks like love -- magic and intangible. Kurt laughs because yes, yes, yes, lets Blaine kiss the freckle at the edge of his spine first, and ( ... )

So Mr. Anderson and Mr. Chang both need to join the "Burt Hummel's Guide to being the Best Father" class

That was beautiful! I'm so in love :) Little confused about Blaine's mom though, I think she does support Blaine but only minorly so?

Yeah, she does, but in quiet ways. Like I would have imagined her at WSS (so she's basically Mike Chang's mom, oops) and she tries to comfort Blaine but I just feel like Blaine doesn't even take off his dapper mask when he's at home, you know, so it's hard for her to reach him.

My impression from this story is that Blaine's mom very much supports him, but is caught in the middle of this very messy relationship between Mr. Anderson and Blaine. She clearly loves and supports Blaine but (perhaps like Blaine) she avoids conflict and wants to be on everybody's side. She understands that Mr. Anderson loves Blaine but is not very good at being the father that Blaine needs; she wants Mr. Anderson to get there but is powerless to push him in that direction. (Or perhaps she has pushed him in that direction, and Mr. Anderson is better than he might have been, but still not as good as Blaine needs him to be.)
