Oh, I love this! I was intrigued by this pairing but I couldn't really think of how they would get together/it on at all. But you made it fit seamlessly and make sense :) Also, hot as hell. I think I'm starting to warm up to like the Faith/Dawn pairing (when well-written).
(I'm sorry, I had seen this earlier but didn't have time then and then forgot about it >.>)
I tend to think it would work because of the issues involved, if that makes any sense. They both have similar hangups about Buffy - feeling like they're in her shadow and always being judged against her example. They both can be pretty reckless and they seem like, if they opportunity was presented, they might just jump into a relationship because it was an option, rather than being careful about it and trying to find the best long-term plan. Plus, Eliza Dushku and Michelle Trachtenberg are both GORGEOUS.
(It's fine, and I swear I'll respond to your e-mail soon! My internet is back, wheeee!)
It totally works, they both have a gigantic inferior complex in regards to Buffy and people tend to bond over things like that. That this can turn into a (albeit fucked up - excuse the pun) sexual relationship is completely relateable. (I still tend to see Michelle Trachtenberg/Dawn as this little kid so... not much there but she sure has grown up NICE.)
