last weekend i hiked mt. doom, backwards, in the night.

this long weekend i should be soaking in some hot springs.

i love outdoors. nz rocks.

The day I hiked the Tongariro Crossing ranks as one of my favorite days of my life. SUCH. An. Amazing. Hike.

I would love to do it again. Jealous of you.

I can't believe you did it backwards, though. I thought the craggy bits were hard enough going UP... I can't imagine trying to go DOWN them. Did you get to do the scree slopes?

oh god do i have stories... but i will spare you the nostalgia. basically i just want to say i am so jealous and i would give anything to be back out bush down there...

the southern alps are amazing. the fjords are breath-taking, marborough sounds are beautiful, the east coast is awe-inspiring. pretty much you can't go wrong as an outdoors enthusiast in new zealand. relish it. it will be gone sooner than you realize. well, you will....
