I'd like to say that it's entirely because of school that I haven't been posting here, but I've also been writing alot of articles, playing lots of gigs - and rehearsing for them, spending too much time playing online Scrabble and at Facebook and been having actual real interactions with people which has mostly been great

Maybe we can play scrabble on facebook, I have been meaning to find the scrabble application. I invested a long time wading through so many useless applications and I eventually gave up.

I did not read the name policy when I created my account, I might delete my account and start a new one.

I had a lot of social spyware paranoia.

Face Book administrators

Hey Andy,

Did you experience any problems with changing your face book photo.

I was thinking of changing my face book name to my real name, but then I noticed that apparently a checks each name change manually. This might mean that I may have to bother explaining to them that why I didn't feel that I wanted to oblige to their possibly excessive Terms Of Service.

I do not like the seriousness and invasiveness of facebook, but I can tolerate it.

What do you think?

I would have thought there was a way to change your name and it does seem a shame you'd have to write to their administrators to change it.

I think it's an invasive and seriously minded tool and I think it will be outdated soon enough. Just the way the applications want you to send invitations to your friends before you even have a chance to use them, not to mention it's recent sale of personal information to advertising companies and the fact that Facebook owns the photos you post and any information you give. But like you, I tolerate it. At least for now.

There are untold numbers of glitches 'temporarily closed for maintenance' messages and error messages with Facebook, most of them seem to be due to the 3% increase in users PER WEEK that I have read about somewhere recently.Seems like something is wrong with our lives when we prioritise the functional capacity of an application on a poor social networking site. I can't believe your mind stoops to such things dreamglotton, given it's usual lofty pursuits.
