Hey, been thinking about you and meaning to write!

Hrrrm, I'm not really the best when it comes to equipment recommendations. But you could more than likely get away with something inexpensive in the beginning, and then upgrade in a year or two if you pursue it further.

I bought one of these when I wanted a steel-string acoustic and was tight on money:

Though the brand they shipped me was "Johston", not "Rogue", but it doesn't matter. I think the quality is the same on either of them. It's a decent guitar and it's hard to go wrong with the price. Will cost you probably $55 total including shipping.

In the $150ish range, you can probably get a Fender or a Yamaha.

Good luck with it. :)

Oh, one thing I will say about the cheaper guitar is that it can be a bit of a pain to get tuned correctly, and to stay that way, probably due to an uneven fretboard or distance between the nut/bridge and the 12th fret. Like, I can each string to itself via the 5th fret method, but it'll be off further up/down the neck. I can usually get it zeroed in close enough by using a few different references. But, for a beginning guitar, it probably won't hurt, because you won't be getting the best sounds out of it in the beginning, anyways. :)
