So what do you all think? Should I go for a masters in English or Library Science?

I suppose it depends on what you want it for - career development or satisfying intellectual curiosity. Is there any opportunity to talk to people who have achieved either and what they got out of the experience?

I'm looking more toward career development. Yes, there is a family friend who majored in Library Science, and she is now working in the field. I think Library Science is probably a better option for me. With English I would most likely have to teach, and that doesn't appeal to me. I like the idea of helping people with research and of learning the latest technology to do so.

From what I understand, getting a job in English is really, really hard and cut throat. Not so with Library Science.

Not that I'm an authority or anything.

Library science. You have a greater likelihood of getting a job with it when you get out, from what I understand.
