I can completely relate with how you feel about being in a new job. I was exactly the same when I started the last job I had; always worrying about being able to relate with people and stuff. It's great that you're with a nice bunch of people though, and that you've been able to talk to them (even if it is only the same old topics :P). You're better off talking about the same old things rather than not talking at all - I learned that the hard way :/ But anyways, well done on the first week of your job!

Hopefully when it gets cooler and you've caught up on sleep, and you're more used to the job things will feel less draining and niggly. It's nice that you're getting on with your collegues. I think everyone needs that, unless jobs/school would be completey unbearable.

And argh, that standing up infront of the school thing SUCKS. I could never handle that myself, I hate being the centre of attention. :\

Anxiety disturbs my sleep too. I'm really surprised by what psyche can do to your body...It's almost a written rule, I have troubles falling asleep every time I have to get up early in the morning because of some early errands I have to run or lectures. Lately it doesn't occur often, well maybe because I don't have to get up so early. But when it became really bad I usually took something to help me fall asleep. Hope you'll get proper sleep soon! If not, maybe you should try something over the counter, something based on herbs? Or just old good warm milk&cookies? Nope, I'm not ten ( ... )
