Just read Holic final chapter. At first because I couldn't stand the wait I downloaded the raw and figured my way through what I could understand. Then I found out that there's a translation in an entry in the clamp_now community. Derp. All that work was for nothing.

I like you post actually and that makes perfectly sense. If that story didn't tell for 100 years, then Watanuki maybe waiting for the right person to tell this story, thus it shows the symbolism that Watanuki should move on... and in my little happy fangirl hope that he will able to move with the new!Doumeki and without forgetting Yuuko...

I think it implies with Wish, when Shinuchirou (sp?) died, it takes 100 years to reincarnate... so it applies for this one. You know the One True Pairing of CLAMP? They are still intertwined... I think these will ease my pain ^^;;

Oh yeah now that you talk about Wish, it has the same theme of reincarnating after a hundred years doesn't it? So my theory stands *dances*.

Actually this was first inspired by the soul-mates theme of CLAMP, the 100 year part was just fueling it :P. And you know, I don't think Shizuka's soul will really rest in peace what's with his utter devotion and all, so it's less believable that he'll just reincarnate somewhere else and lead a normal life without returning back to Wata's side :">

Shizuka may have died a sad death, but their love lives on TT^TT Let's all believe so~

I also think the Doumeki we knew, Doumeki Shizuka, reincarnated as his great grandchild. It makes sense. There's no way they look and act 100% alike.
