Jess left on Sunday morning. Initially, it was pretty hard...but it IS only a week, so it hasn't been too bad thus far. I guess goodbyes make you think about the summer...although I have a feeling thinking about things like that are harder than actually living through them. Anyway, I'm not gonna get sappier than that

About goodbyes...I know what you mean. Don't worry about it, you'll see her soon enough, and she's not going anywhere. Just remember that even though she's a few hundred miles away for the next week or so, she's still yours. That thought ought to keep you warm in bed at night.

As for Derek Bell...fuck him. I'd love to see you out there in right field. Just so long as I get to be your agent...or at least give me a cut of that two-year, $9.75 million contract they're going to pay you as Derek Bell's replacement. What an idiot.
