Tommorrow is the last day of classes which is totally weird to contemplate. If I think about it for long enough, the fact that I'll be able to tell people I'm done with my freshman year of college blows my mind ( Read more... )

And so ends Year 1, huh? Minus finals, of course...

I don't really know what it's like to come back home after a year of school...but I do know that when you walk out the door after that last final, and when you walk into your house...it's a different place. It's such a good feeling to be finished. I get the same feeling after finals that I did after I walked out of Allderdice for the last time as a student, and hopefully you will, too...I really felt like I could conquer the world right there...and hopefully you'll be able to ride that feeling all through the best summer yet.

See you in a couple of weeks, man. Good luck on your finals. =)

Being half done scares the hell out of me, if that is any consolation.
And I felt exactly the same way a year ago.

I like Phildo too...though Christy was funny. I guess calling my dad by his first name was a nod to Jaleo...

speaking of which, as a procrasturbatory measure, I might be designing a new Jaleo desktop image...

...after my final this afternoon, of course. But I'm itching to do something besides Fourier series and matrix eigenvalue problems, so...after my final I'll probably play with Photoshop a bit. I'll email you guys the result. AOL address for you, Matt, and Vassar for Andy, unless you want me to use a different one. I'll post it on the Web too and put the link in my journal.

I agree with katie...it was scary last year, and it doesn't get better....just different. If anything it just gets harder to leave, especially when you are closer to the people you are leaving and when some of them you are the closest to won't be back until Janurary. And of course, last year I didn't have to leave you ;).
