If you only know one person there's always a chance that they'll die and you'll be left alone. The more people you know the more chance there is of someone dying and the less chance you'll be left alone. But when those people are around your age the chances should be low, right? When you're young anyway

*hugs* - right now I really wish I could do that IRL. My parents went on holiday this morning so I'm home alone. All of my 'local' friends are either away for the weekend or on holiday. I don't think I've ever felt so alone.

Yes we should. I feel guilty 'cos it's a while since I last chatted with him. As if somehow that would have kept him alive. It's amazing how utterly nonsensical the brain can be at times.

I miss you too. I need to try and make a trip to the US sometime, maybe early next year, where I can see a bunch of people I haven't seen in a long time.

I'm glad I met him and I'm glad he's no longer in pain. I'm also glad I never had to see him go through what he went through at the end. He was such a great guy and so full of life and that is how I will always remember him.
