Indeed. We have Wembley and, to be honest, it's a very impressive stadium both inside and out. Especially so in terms of logistics which were so lacking in its eponymous predecessor. You now actually stand a chance of being able to urinate, in a device designed for it, within a reasonable timeframe.
One reason it wasn't designed with the Olympics (or, more generally, athletics) in mind is that it's primarily a football stadium and the problem with playing football in an athletics stadium is that the closest fans are a gazillion miles away from the pitch due to the running track between the stands and the grass - especially at the ends. The old Wembley stadium was absolutely awful for this. But I guess the main reason is that 'New Wembley' was originally conceived in the late 90s (the last game there was in 2000) when the Olympic bid was not even a thought.
