This isn't exactly news, the process was first started in 2005, but I haven't seen it being widely reported since I first learnt of it a few months ago.

I like some of his policies - a non-interventionist foreign policy and a belief in free trade to name two - but 'freedom for everyone except the dark-skinned and women who don't want to be pregnant any more' or 'freedom for everyone I deem worthy' is simply ridiculous...imho anyway.

ridiculous as they are those aren't his policies. not sure where the second one comes from but his abortion point is that it is a state law issue and thus should be no concern of the president.

He supports tighter border controls. I personally dislike the existence of arbitrary lines in the ground where one group of people is allowed to live and another isn't. You could build a barbed wire fence between the USA and Mexico and have an armed guard every ten feet and you might just curb illegal immigration to all but the future olympic swimmers but you'd be spending a fuck of a lot of money and damaging the economy to the tune of 'oh fuck, who's going to clean the streets now?'. Illegal immigration, like economic migration, isn't all bad ( ... )
