I find Mike Huckabee as a candidate amusing because the item he's gotten the most press about has been regarding his promotion of weight loss. He was on The Colbert Report last night, and he actually was pretty funny. Swimming pool. (Although I haven't used it yet.)

And Maine seems nice.

It is close to irrelevant that my computer (more so than it has been), phone, and camera (still) are acting funny.

I'm leaving tomorrow. Leaving the Cape (at least for now), Le Hac house (at least as a home), and my corps-mates (although I'll see a number again). Nevertheless, this is an opportunity to see Katie cry, which doesn't happen all that often, and if I have anything to say about it, will not occur with many witnesses present.

I like packing. Or at least the intial go through stuff in the closet stage. And the stacking as many books in a box as possible. Also the winter clothes, and dress clothes suitcases. But when it comes down to the pack what you will be wearing in the near future, and finding bags for food, and stuffing big suitcases in the trunk of Toto, it ( Read more... )

I couldn't stop laughing at this article: Town offers home to frozen couple. This town in Colorado houses frozen bodies.

They celebrate "Frozen Dead Guy Day".

And the mayor states that "the town is open to consider anything we can do for any foreign frozen dead people in stiff circumstances."

I talked with my aunt for a while today on my drive back from Bourne. (Don't ask why when 12 people needed to be in Falmouth last night, I drove only myself, even with gas over $3.10 a gallon on Cape.) She mentioned how she was glad I was so happy out here ( Read more... )

I was reading The Nose the other day, a column from the Tacoma newspaper that basically highlights various local news bits, in a snarky, gossipy way.
