[Pile accumulated, he'll start opening kitchen drawers, looking for something they can use. A dishtowel? What do people use on broken buildings....It's no good. He doesn't know. Is covering the hole the only point, or do they need something that'll insulate...?]

A few minutes later, he sighs in relief as the blue glow fades, then moves to take off the bed coverings. This is going to be a waste, but he needs to cover up that hole pronto. Besides, he can always buy some more.]

For construction, isn't some sort of sheeting used? It shouldn't be too expensive.
