Most middle-aged adults say that either your high school years or your college years are the best years of your life. Why is this? First off, your high school years are full of drama, emotions running wild, being part of a clique and therefore ignored by pretty much everyone else. Of course, high school does have its many good moments. So I'm ( Read more... )

My take:

People say that high school and college are the best years of their lives becasue they are old enough to have the freedoms of adulthood and yet still young enough to evade the responsibilities and burdens put upon an independent individual of society (i.e. one who graduates). I don't partake in that philosophy. It's basically just dooming yourself to a downhill slope from age 23 on. Take each day for what it is, instead of looking back or forward and comparing to what has been or what might be. My advice is just don't worry. People think so much they never have any time to live.

And as a note, you'll always be judged. But if that affects you in any way, then you inevitably judge people back. There's a famous quote which I'm sure you've heard that goes something like "If you judge someone you leave no room to love them", and it's totally true.

=\ I sure as hell hope they aren't the best years of MY life 'cause they've been hell... even where there was something mildly good (like meeting you and the rest of the TAMSters, there was still a lot of shit, like with the freaking admin. and classes). So, I've never agreed with those statements about the best years of your life. Anyways, I dunno what else to say... You know, we really miss you. Like, a lot! I really wish you were closer 'cause we want to hang out with you so bad. Out of all the TAMSters, the three of us seem to be the most alike from my point of view... maybe it's just me, but there's something that separated us from the rest. You two connected better to the others than I did, but, you know... Oh well... I'm just thinking... I think I'm too stressed to think... 'cause I'm starting to get teary-eyed... I really miss you. It's not right that we've been so far apart for so long. Every couple of days (not weeks, not months, DAYS), we talk about how much we miss you and how we wish we could see you. Anyways, really don' ( ... )

Let it roll.let it roll..let it roll. let it roll, gringo....

it's a nice song by molotov.

oh and by the way..

I was once confrnted with a situation similar to this one. and here is my take....FUCK IT.

You want to do something but are afraid to get criticized?fuck it, do it anyways.

You want to say something but are afraid to get laughed at? fuck it, do it anyways.

You matter the most. you are your own person. you don't need to fit/be liked to be happy. acceptance is great. but the REAL acceptance is hte one that comes from those that care about you. not some strangers
