ANYWAY.

Kantarou finds Koumyou a lot of fun~ :D Here's someone who can take his bullshit and spout back some fine-quality stuff of his own. He's old enough that he's not got some of the rawer edges Kantarou's been seeing with a lot of people here -- even some of the other counselors -- and he's calm, which is a nice bonus. (Also, Haruka likes you; Haruka's a good judge of character. Don't believe a word he says about me, though. >:) He's the sort of person Kantarou would actually be comfortable sititing with and NOT talking, because it's all sort of chill like that. YOU ARE ONE OF THE VERY FEW PEOPLE KANTAROU FEELS NO NEED TO BE BRATTY TOWARDS. I like to imagine that offscreen, they hang out and smoke and BS each other whenever Nii isn't around to glower or Haruka isn't there to go >| and try to "correct" Kantarou's stories.

I mean uh

Honestly, Sora's pretty easy when it comes to cute girls; he likes to make people happy in general, but cute girls get a sort of -- special emphasis, I guess? And Rikku he's a little familiar with, even if in a different world/context, so he's more comfortable with her than the people he's meeting for the absolute first time. Like with Zidane, though, she understands what it's like to go adventuring, about moogles (even if they're different kinds of moogles), she knows people he knows (even if they're different!) and she knows how to synthesize! That's really cool, okay. :D She's cute, she's friendly, and she'll give as good as she gets in a water fight, you're sort of stuck with him. \o/ And if I ever get a Riku, I will introduce you two and there will be hilarious times.

Only sometimes there are occasional flashes of an okay guy under the BEING A JERK part, which means Dera kind of inadvertantly reminds Sora of Riku, now and then. So while he's very ">P" on the surface, on a vaguely subconscious level, he's pretty confident that he's got nothing to really worry about from Dera. YOU'RE NOT SO TOUGH, NOT!RIKU. >D

... also, he ended up talking with Zexion about Dera a bit after Dera went sulking back into the cave, and that just sort of confirmed his first impressions. He's not entiiiiiirely sure he wants to be friends which is to say that it will probably happen in spite of himself, if Dera continues pinging his "RIKU?!" buttons, but he's willing to try to be nice!

OKAY. LET'S DO THIS ESSAY THING. Two comments, not four! HAHAHAHAHAHA--wait.

So see, the thing is -- Hakuren makes friends quickly, and if you impress him, he's pretty damn loyal. He's also really good at letting his friends go their own ways. Teito and I were talking once, and she mentioned that Hakuren and Teito were a lot healthier than Mikage and Teito in some ways -- because Teito was desperately dependant on Mikage, hence the whole "I AM GOING TO AVENGE HIM!11!" attitude. However, with Hakuren, they both basically have their own paths and their own goals, and -- it's kind of telling, I think, that they only know each other for about a month and a half but Hakuren is another "light" to Teito, and Teito is actually willing to forfeit at one point (the final test of the partner round basically involves two doors, one for the victor and one for the loser, and both Hakuren and Teito yell at each other for a bit about YOU TAKE THE VICTOR'S DOOR and NO U), which. Given that he joined the church in the first place so he could

And see, killing Teito would be a good way to make Hakuren angry and upset and disappointed, but he wouldn't actually hate you for it. Like Mikage, he's not one for revenge. Maybe, if Devit hadn't actually blurted it to him -- but then again, maybe not; Hakuren takes care of kids, back at the church. He knows they have a tendency to lash out and throw fits when they're upset for any reason, and he would read it that way. He would be incredibly disappointed, and he would withdraw a bit, yes, but he wouldn't actually stop being Devit's friend. Going back to the Teito parallels, though (it still strikes me as fitting that you guys have the same seiyuu |D), he understands, at least subconsciously, that you're a lonely and sad panda, and what you really need IS a friend who'll stay, no matter what. (He might not actually get this on a conscious level, but it is something he realizes and reacts to.) He did it for Teito; he'll do it for you. I can't actually honestly think of a way Devit COULD make Hakuren hate him -- even if he were
