I ended up defaulting on my remix assignment because I was going through another round of ~crazy. It was the right decision--getting teary-eyed over my laptop wasn't getting me anywhere--but now I'm feeling all mopey and guilty because everyone else is posting their amazing fic and art.

1) It's okay! These things happen, and life > fandom.

1) I don't feel too bad about defaulting. At least I gave my remixee a chance to get a *good* story. I do feel a bit wistful that I gave up on the chance of being a part of the community.

2) It's weird. I'm more willing to experiment than I was when I was a baby!fan, but I'm also. . . more conservative? I've seen the rants, and wanks, and very serious discussions fandom has had about certain things, and I'm aware that what I'm writing is very DNW for lots of people.

(It's also a kink for others, so.)

A lot is hanging on how well I can pull everything together in the end.

3) No help needed! The fic is finished and posted :) I skated around the sexy part of the prompt.
