Re: From a career womananeseJune 9 2011, 21:02:14 UTC
I hadn't checked here in a while--but I did read your advice. I don't know if I'd have the guts to do it, but maybe I need to just start. Lately I've been wondering if I'll ever have a career or if I'm just wasting my time searching.
I recently spoke to a young woman who told me she'd "given up", moved in with her boyfriend and was just cooking meals for him and cleaning and wasn't going to worry about getting a job because she studied Political Science and it was "useless".
This terrified me. There's nothing wrong with taking care of your family/husband or whatever but it's not something I'd want without a career of my own. I would be intensely depressed.
